Came here back in July and I’m still thinking about how good it was lol. Their happy hour menu is so worth it. We had the Lychee Blossom, Momotaro Margarita, and Matcha 3x and they were all delicious. The Oysters were clean and flavorful and the broth with the Spicy Chicken Wontons was addicting, we were recommended to save it for the rice and that really elevated the experience! We also had the Drunken Yellowtail - I personally loved the citrus and freshness. The Prime Filet & Broccoli was tender and paired well with the Veggie Fried Rice. The Duck Fried Rice had the glisten of the duck fat incorporated and nice duck pieces. The Spicy Garlic Prawns were huge!! Last but definitely not least - the Lava Potato Puree.. sooo good. It’s warm, garlicky, and gluttonous. We came in around 5:30 on a Thursday and the space was quiet and intimate. Beautiful place for photos and the service was top-notch. Definitely worth coming here for Asian fine-dining.

We had a wonderful experience on a Tuesday evening, two weeks ago. We sat at the bar to take advantage of their great happy hour menu. We enjoyed everything we ordered! Oysters, Lobster & Shrimp Air Egg Rolls, Wagyu Cheeseburger Potstickers (such a fun and creative dish), Duck Fat Spicy Chicken Wontons, and Night Rooster Caviar Bites (perfect bite!). All of these were incredible, would absolutely recommend! Drinks were delicious too, bartender was so friendly! We also ordered the Three Course Pre Fixe $45 per person. The Drunken Yellowtail Crudo was a huge portion and tasty. Duck Fried Rice and the upcharge Lobster & Prawn Noodles were both great. The Mango Grapefruit Coconut Sago was refreshing and the Cheesecake was delicious! Only negative on the food was the side order of Lava Potato Puree, it was extremely salty, so much so that it was overpowering and could barely taste garlic. We will be back! Highly recommend!

I did watch Chef Shirley Chung on Top Chef and was here for her food! It did not disappoint: Maybe an upscale place won’t like hearing this, but even the kids loved this place! Now, the kids in my party aren’t picky in the stereotypical picky-kid sense, as in they actually eat a good variety of foods and like trying new things, but they will have *strong* opinions about what they like and dislike. Night Rooster landed squarely on the good side of their opinion. We all did the prix fixe menu and ordered a variety of things, so we could all sample as wide a variety of their menu as possible. Some standouts: APPETIZERS - Chef Shirley started out with dumplings and the Cheeseburger Dumplings (in the photo with the egg rolls) were, sure enough, juicy and scrumptious and a good filling to wrapper ratio. One of the kids who normally do not like sushi/sashimi, loved the Yellowtail and Jicama Crudo. The Lobster & Shrimp Air Eggrolls were fried crispy (but not oily!) and I loved the flavor of the light and airy filling, which I’ve never gotten that texture (light and airy) before in egg roll fillings. My friend and I dined here and had an enjoyable time. Parking was easy and we were seated quickly. The service amongst our waitress and staff was great and very attentive! We started out with a few appetizers - lobster and shrimp air egg rolls, jumbo wagyu cheeseburger potstickers, duck fat spicy chicken wontons, and the drunken yellowtail. I really enjoyed the wontons (wasn’t overly spicy) and yellowtail (very fresh) but the eggroll could’ve held more flavor (the dipping sauce was good) and if you enjoy cheeseburgers you’ll like the potstickers (wasn’t for me). For the main, we shared the prime filet and broccoli + added a side of steamed white rice and lava potato puree. The beef and broccoli were delicious and meat cooked well but I would’ve enjoyed a little bit more sauce. The puree was tasty and was a nice addition to the meal. We ended with tea and a matcha dessert - we enjoyed both! Overall, this was a good dining experience and definitely recommend!

Every dish was memorable. It’s a really pretty spot and our server was super nice too! We had our pre-teen/teen kids with us and they were treated very kindly as well. We forgot to take a photo of the matcha cheesecake but it was absolutely delicious! We drove an hour in traffic from Denton but it was worth it we’ll be back for sure.
